Liz and Tim first got to know each other within the Denver, CO neurodiversity employment networking space. Liz had been working as an Occupational Therapist in a large hospital setting and needed something different for both herself and her neurodistinct clients. Liz was burnt out and also was seeing the huge gap in service for neurodistinct individuals as they move into adulthood. After learning about Neurodiversity @ Work initiatives, Liz got connected to Tim and the floodgates of learning opened for Liz. “When I first heard Tim share his personal experience with neurodiversity, as well as his knowledge about neurodiversity within the corporate space, it ignited a passion in me. I knew I had to chart a new path forward. I knew I needed to do something to transition the burden of change from the neurodistinct individual to society and the workplace. WE as members of society (e.g. employers, family/friends, providers) need to do more but we need guides to do it. Tim has become my guide and mentor, which will help me be a guide and mentor to others.”

Fast forward 3 years to the present. Collaboration between Tim and Liz has continued along with development of a healthy dose of mutual respect. Liz and Tim have been able to uncover a truly unique value proposition, which leverages Tim’s neurodistinct brain, corporate expertise, and knowledge of tech/AI and Liz’s clinical background in Occupational Therapy and behavioral science, as well as a considerable network of contributing industry and clinical experts. Neurodistinct Institute is the genesis of that value proposition.
